Dad turns fifty three
Happy birthday to the best father ever. I remembered when you cleaned up my skinned knees, held my hand across the street, taught me nothing is impossible. You are my inspiration and my 老 HERO.
So this year, we decided to celebrate dad’s 53rd birthday at Crab in da bag. It’s located at East Coast’s Big Splash, just a stone’s throw away from the beach. The restaurant is decked out in a blue and white nautical theme, and serves seafood swathes in sauces that range from classic Louisiana butter and garlic, to curry with a kick or Thai-inspired green chilli dip.
We ordered The Caboodle Boil Gigantic Pot, a massive Southern Louisiana seafood dish filled with succulent Boston lobsters, South African lobster, Sri Lankan crabs, King crab legs, Yabbies, cray fish, Loligo squid, Tiger prawns, Venus clams, sausages, corn on the cob, and potatoes. We slap on a bib (I had to look after the kids so I requested for a pair of gloves), and dig in.
Daddy, happy birthday. We hope you enjoyed the seafood feast!
And yes, we will go there again, someday.
