Playdate | Paper Lantern

Christmas is now over and Lunar Chinese New Year is approaching!

It will be nice if we can do some crafting in relation to CNY. The red ang pao lantern is a little too challenging for the toddlers but this is much easier –>>

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI printed some pictures that we had taken some time ago and use them to make paper lantern. Just six easy steps and you are done!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe girls happily cut the paper but after some five minutes, Heidi gave up. She said there were just too many lines to cut and she was very tired. LOL. Sonia enjoyed cutting but she accidentally cut through the top of the paper so we had to start all over again on a new paper. I end up cutting the paper for them both but they did paste the lantern together on their own. Tada~ All’s done. I used a chopstick as their lantern stick.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAfter crafting, they requested to play playdoh and so we did. I think they had more fun playing with dough then crafting. Haha… Kids…

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis time round, Tiffany joined in too! She can now walk about independently! I’m sure, in no time, Tiffany will be able to join the girls in crafting or whatnot.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAArnold will take a while (a long while) before he can join the all-girls-team on their playdate. He’s still learning how to stand independently. And the only few words he can sprout now are “mama” and “papa”.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI’m guessing that they can communicate better since they are only eight months apart.
