A date with my son
It’s a perfect day to be at the beach! And there is every reason to get out of the house. So I grabbed a packet of milk, a milk bottle, and a diaper; threw them in my pink Nike bag and hit the highway to East Coast Beach. Just Arnold and I.
He fell asleep in the car and was still sleeping when we had arrived our destination. So I plonked him on the stroller and walked to the nearest eatery for lunch. There was Starbucks and so we walked in.
While the warp looked inviting, it didn’t taste as good as I thought it might be. Having an overpriced wrap that didn’t taste half as good as it looked was double BAD. Arg! But for the least I got to eat in peace while my baby slept so soundly on his stroller.
He woke up just in time as I finished my food. I gave him my widest smile but he cried ever so loudly. Guess, he must have felt perplexed. He was in the car one moment and next he found himself in a foreign space. It took a while to comfort him before we left Starbucks for the beach!
This boy loves soaking in the nature. He would sit on the patch of grass and pick twigs and dry leaves to play.
There he was, trying to offer a stranger some twigs. Haha…
He didn’t quite want to go home yet but I needed to pick Sonia up, so…. good bye beach! We will come by another day.
