Splashing, wading, paddling and swimming with the kids

Splashing, wading, paddling and swimming with the kids on a cloudy evening with yeye was nothing but FUN!

It was the time of the month and it wasn’t convenient for me to dive down into the pool with Sonia for swimming lessons, so my FIL volunteered to take her down. See, I told you, I had the BEST FIL, ever.

Sonia had a splashing good time today!

She literally glued herself to yeye, so yeye had to “abandon” her while Teacher Wang coached her, and picked her back when it was Heidi’s turn.

Arnold was all dressed, ready to dive right into the pool. But before that, his mama (me) made him pose for some picture! Gee…

“I’m strong!”

I thought Arnold would beam when he got into the water, but no. The water was too cold for his liking -_-

It took a while before he felt a little more comfortable with the temperature of the water. Anyhow, distractions always work! Just throw him a toy or two and tah dah~

Finally, a smile.

That’s Sonia with her coach! She’s now more willing to swim through the loop. Some two months back, she would cry and protest. I’m glad tough times are over (I hope).

There you go…

Trying to float on her back.

After lesson, the girls went to the kids’ pool for some fun! We had a slide there but Sonia wasn’t game for it. She preferred waddling about the pool.

That’s her, all relaxed, picking dead flowers floating on the water.

We all had a lovely evening and Sonia went home boasting to her daddy that sooooooooo many people went down to see her swim. She likes being around her family and likes being the centre of attention. Watching my gems grow up is the best gift ever.
