S.E.A. Aquarium at Resorts World Sentosa
WHY THE S.E.A. AQUARIUM AT RESORT WORLD SENTOSA
On Arnold’s FIRST playdate, the mummies decided upon the S.E.A. Aquarium at Resorts World Sentosa. Perfect destination for the 1.5 years young babies. Why? Because it’s comfortable (air-conditioned), spacious, engaging, colourful, lively, and appealing!
As we stare at them swimming in the aquarium, I wonder who is actually watching whom. They seems to be ogling at us from the other side of the glass tank. In this magical marine world, there are more than 80,000 underwater animals from 800 species, swimming in 42.8 million litres of water. Unbelievable!
Do you know, Resorts World Sentosa’s S.E.A. Aquarium is now the official record holder of two Guinness World Records – it is the world’s largest aquarium and has the world’s largest acrylic panel in its Ocean Gallery (read full article here).
The world’s largest acrylic panel in the Ocean Gallery at the aquarium measures 36 metres wide by 8.3 metres tall and weighs more than 250,000 kg. Its surface area is equivalent to two rows of three double-decker buses stacked on top of one another.
Here’s probably the kids favourite hangout (and ours too)! While the little ones walked about and sticked their nose on the glass panel, admiring the hundreds or even thousands of colourful fishes swimming in the enormous tank, we got to rest our feet, sit and chat till they exhaust themselves.
SO MANY FISHES!!!
It was fun! They love watching the fishes and we love whatever they love.
There were so many fishes and I would love to snap more pictures of them with the kids but our hands were full (most of the time). Maybe the next time, I’ll drag daddy along to do photo taking (haha).
Midway, Katie fell asleep. She could literally sleep anywhere, and at anytime. Impressed! Soon, the boys were tired too, so we left for home after a good 2 hours tour about the aquarium.
We will be back!
