A Day at East Coast Park
A DAY AT EAST COAST PARK
We were blessed with awesome weather! Thanks god! The past few days’ weather had been unpredictable. This morning when we woke up, we saw a very dark sky and in my head, I was already thinking about our wet weather program. I didn’t want to disappoint Sonia and Arnold, so we went ahead and drove to East Coast Park anyway. The ground was wet but it wasn’t raining, yet (heng ah).
My gems took their scooter and starting scooting while Jo and I chased after behind them. Just watching them laugh and giggle is priceless.
Why that face? Because jiejie didn’t wait for him…
Why that face? Because he saw a BIRD! Gee… Simple joy!
I love my kids so so much! I believe every mom can relate.
Actually I quite like the weather – cooling, not sunny, perfect. Along the way we saw a breakwater and the kids asked what’s that for? Why is there a number 4 written on the rock? Can they climb up the “hill”? Haha.. curious little kids, I like! Even simple trips to the beach can be educational!
If you wonder, breakwaters are there to break the waves before it reaches the coast. This is so the waves energy will be largely reduced by the breakwaters thereby protecting the coast from erosion.
Teaching them to climb up a breakwater.
Finally, we are up there!!!
I love having small talks with them on the breakwater. So calming, so comfortable.
And so we spent the next 10 minutes staring into the sea.
After spending quite some time at the breakwater, the kids wanted to go to the playground and so we did!
Off we go…
They stop each time they spot a set of footprint!
I’m so proud of Sonia! She did this all by herself! #proudmummy
Arnold didn’t make it up but never mind. Next time.
I love this!
We had a beautiful day but it would be even better if daddy was able to join us. Hopefully the next time! Anyway, aza aza fighting daddy! We know you are busy at work!
