A Jolly Sandy Day at ECP
I frequent ECP as a kid and later when I learned how to roller blade, I find myself soaking at East Coast at least three times a week. That’s also where we used to cycle and blade. This place holds lots of good memories I can’t let go. And now, I’m building new memories with my children.
Filled with excitements, we left home to the beach! Arnold grabbed his scooter and Sonia took her bicycle. My mum dragged a wagon filled with water bottles, wet wipes, change of clothes, towels, tissue paper, biscuits, and everything else she deemed necessary (which is a lot)! I’m not complaining because these things always come in handy and I’m thankful to have such a thoughtful mum like her!
There she is, following just behind with a wagon filled with love…
We were riding, scooting, walking and running along ECP, looking for a nice place to rest our feet. And there we saw a bunch of kids playing by the beach. S&A passed me their “vehicles” and ran to join them.
Just a simple “hi” and everyone were friends already! They shared toys and started building their kind of sandcastles.
I still remembered the times when S&A were about a year old; they fear touching sand, let not to say, play in it! Now look at them today!
My dear son, be bold and brave. Always know that mummy is by your side.
Standing by the shore, feeling the cool water beneath your feet, sinking into earth, listening to the sound of splashing water. There’s peace.
This smile is priceless.
By the time we were done playing with sand, we were all sticky and sandy. Just around the playground there were children cubicles and so we washed up a little before heading to the playground.
Arnold loves it too!
A day at the beach was nothing but fun! We all had a fruitful morning and the kids had a satisfying nap. I’m already looking forward to our next trip there!
