On the first day of 2015, we took this family photo. I looked tired with two panda eyes; Arnold was almost one-year-old, Sonia just got promoted to N1 and hub’s busy with his business. 2015 had been kind to us and we were happy. A small family living in some corner of Singapore, trying to make the best out of life, pursuing happiness, seeking stability, and constantly learning.
Over the 365-day journey, we grew, we learned, we experienced, we loved, we fought, we made up, we played, we sang, we danced, we drew, we flew, we travelled, we baked, we partied, we laughed, we cried, we studied, we worked, we did so much! It was fruitful, rewarding, gratifying, and we were very thankful.
One chapter has come to an end and the next chapter awaits. I can’t wait to see what 2016 has instilled for us! Bring it on, 2016!
Besides the small cough and flu, everyone at home had been healthy! And that’s a call for celebration! Remember,
“It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi
The groundwork of all happiness is still health.
In 2016, I want to start a healthy regimen! First, eat right. Second, exercise more. Third, stop procrastinating!
Last year we travelled to Perth (in summer) and Adelaide (in winter) with the kids. I cherish every travelling opportunity because travelling is the best way of having new experiences. Along the journey, we meet new people, and learn new cultures. It is also the best way of gaining new perspective, new points of view about leading our life. It gives you the time to think, ideate, observe and learn new things. Above all, it deepens your bond with your family. It helps create wonderful memories together.
And if you need more reasons to travel – travel is the only thing you buy, that makes you richer. So, once a year, go someplace you have never been before! This year, we will be heading to Iran and Dubai! I know, they are not the typical places you would bring your tots to but I’m really excited about the idea of going to somewhere I’ve never been to before! I’m sure it will be an eye opener!
